Brand History

ideaco & associates started in 1989 as a product design and planning company. The ' Cube ' , an umbrella stand, was the first product of our own ideaco brand. More than 400,000 Cubes were sold in Japan in 7 years. It became the standard of its kind and still is. Another umbrella stand ' Okura ' made one of the Good Design Product Selection (Home/Living Environment Design Category) by the Osaka Design Center in 2003. The magazine holder ' Kamui ' and the multi-hanger ' Arrow ' were recipients of the prestigious Good Design Awards by Japan Industrial Design Promotion Organization in 2004 and 2005, respectively.
